OMG We got a puppy this weekend and also Little Brother and KAP (now KPS!) got married!

Wheeeeew. The weekend felt about as long as that blog title, but it was truly wonderful! Little Bro and his lovely Bride, KPS, had an AMAZING WEDDING. Just truly wonderful. They had a short engagement and there was some scrambling here and there to get things done, but it all fell into place perfectly and worked out for the best. Examples: 8 weeks out-"You don't have a photographer yet? ooooh. But they ended up with the perfect photog for them! 30 days out-You don't have an OFFICIANT? OMG. But they ended up with a seriously awesome pastor who was wonderful in the rehearsal and did a really touching meaningful service. We drove straight back home today to try and adopt our puppy. Emily was adopted at an event on Friday night so we weren't able to bring her home, but we met another dog that in the end is probably a much better fit for us. Meet Griffin (like the new W&M mascot, and yes, we have already decided to name the next dog Timmy J)... She is a Boxer/Beagle mix and she definitely has the good qualities of both breeds. She's somewhere between a year and half and two years old. Her personality is pretty mellow (she has been sleeping on the floor for about an hour now), but is also very playful and puppy-like. I think it worked out well that someone else adopted Emily. She was probably more puppy than we could handle and I think our little Griffin is probably much better suited to fit in our life. We left her by herself briefly to see how she would do in the strange house alone. We were only gone for about and hour, and she was completely fine. She poked around and was just hanging out upstairs we got back. It's working out great so far! All 8 hours we've had her! :) And the wedding! The wedding was awesome! The Wren is just so beautiful and the Community Center is such a great venue. The food was amazing, the cake was delicious. Scott Crabbs (you alumni house reception people probably know him) DJ'd and he was great! It was just fantastic. I had a hard time with the camera because the light was so high and it was SOOOOOO bright on Saturday, but here are a few. Gorgeous day in the 'Burg. The ring. The bride and groom!
